Installing Debian 2.2 (Potato) on a Dell PowerEdge 2550 (2500) server. The howto was very ugly so i created debian potato boot-floppies that should be used. You can download debian boot-floppies for pe2550 (and pe2500) at http://www.hem.net/doc/linux/pe2550_boot-floppies/ Download the files resc1440.bin, root1440.bin, drv1440.bin If you don't know how to create the floppies from the binary images, there are good instructions on debians installtion page http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/ch-install-methods.en.html#s-create-floppy The aaraid patch is now included in the latest version of the Debian kernel-source packages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: This document, and all software is provided "AS IS", with no express or implied warranties.
